“FRANNY” · “FRANITA”

Holosomatic Practitioner · Sound & Vibrational Therapist · Certified Massage Therapist · Meditation & Somatic Guide · Teacher

Sound · Touch · Vibration · Presence

Creating experiences that can be profoundly intimate and deeply personal, while translating naturally into retreats, festivals, corporate environments, luxury hospitality and international wellbeing projects.

Who I am

To understand yourself is one thing. To experience yourself is another.

I am Franny, a French-born, trilingual Holosomatic Practitioner based in Andalucía, Spain.

My work brings together sound, vibration, touch, massage, breath, movement, meditation, mindfulness, emotional awareness and somatic practice.

“The body has its own way of knowing. Presence first. Everything else follows.”

My role is to create the space, the conditions and the journey in which that experience can unfold.

Soundataraxia

Sound · Vibration · Embodied Wellbeing

Soundataraxia is my expression of sound, vibration and embodied wellbeing. I work with sound as something that can be heard, felt and experienced throughout the body.

Instruments

  • Therapeutic Tibetan bowls
  • Peter Hess® therapeutic instruments
  • Tam-tam and solar gongs
  • Tongue drums
  • Shamanic drums
  • Ocean drums and rain sticks
  • Koshi wind chimes
  • Shamanic flute
  • Vibroacoustic instruments
  • Orpheus 5 by Onar Sounds
  • Other resonant and vibrational instruments
Professional practice

I am a Peter Hess Method certified practitioner, Gong Master and certified Método Vibria® Vibroacoustic Therapy practitioner. My work has also been featured by the BBC.

Beyond technique

For me, sound is far more than creating beautiful music. I work with resonance, frequency, rhythm, silence, space and sensation, creating experiences in which the participant can listen not only to the sound around them, but to their own body.

My relationship with instruments goes beyond technique. I continually practise, explore and refine how each instrument responds to different bodies, spaces and environments.

I also value the human craftsmanship behind instruments. Some of the instruments I work with have been handmade by friends and fellow practitioners. For me, there is something significant about an instrument made by human hands rather than mass-produced by machines: the relationship between maker, material and instrument becomes part of the experience of resonance.

This curiosity has taken me into many different musical and cultural environments. I have played music with nomadic communities in the desert, learned Sami chanting in Finland while making my own drum with a renowned Sami artist, and explored traditional drumming and musical practices in communities across my travels.

My instruments also carry their own journeys. My gong, for example, has travelled extensively, including to a recording studio in Cádiz connected with the long-established traditional family of José de los Camarones.

For me, every instrument has a story, a character and a relationship with the person playing it.

Touch, Bodywork & Vibration

The body is another language.

My relationship with sound is deeply connected to my relationship with the body.

I am a certified massage therapist, trained and experienced in:

Sports Massage · Swedish Massage · Flow Thai Massage · Relaxation Massage · Aromatherapy Massage · Hot Stone Massage · Sound Massage · Vibration Massage · Reiki · Intuitive Bodywork · Energetic Bodywork

This background has shaped the way I work with sound.

I understand the body through touch, movement, pressure, stillness and sensation, and I bring that embodied understanding into my sound practice.

Touch

Allows me to communicate with the body directly.

Sound

Allows me to work with resonance and vibration.

Together

Create a multidimensional sensory experience.

Meditation, Breath & Mindfulness

From breath to sensation to stillness.

I also guide practices that develop awareness through breath, attention and stillness.

Yoga Nidra & Sound Nidra
Guided Meditation
Mindfulness
Breathing Techniques
Somatic Awareness
Embodied Meditation
Deep Relaxation

Depending on the intention of the experience, I can create journeys moving through:

breath → movement → sensation → sound → stillness → integration

These experiences can be restorative, contemplative, immersive, playful or deeply reflective.

Kukui

Connection · Exploration · Transformation

Kukui is the wider experiential and transformational space in which these practices meet.

Through Kukui, I create workshops, retreats, ceremonies, group experiences and immersive journeys exploring the relationship between body, emotion, awareness, connection and personal transformation.

Sound · Touch · Movement · Meditation · Breath · Mindfulness · Emotional Intelligence · Somatic Awareness · Ritual · Nature · Community

Rather than applying one fixed formula, I respond to the people, the environment and the intention of each project.

For me, experience design begins with listening.

Retreats & Immersive Experiences

A complete journey, not an isolated session.

I have created and facilitated retreat experiences combining sound, meditation, movement, bodywork, workshops, emotional exploration, relaxation and connection.

A retreat allows me to create a complete journey rather than an isolated session.

The experience can begin from the moment someone arrives and continue through the rhythm of the programme, the environment, nature, food, movement, treatments, workshops, sound, silence and shared moments.

I particularly enjoy bringing different disciplines together so that they complement one another rather than existing as separate activities.

Festivals & Collective Work

I have also worked within festival environments, where the energy, scale and diversity of the audience create very different dynamics from intimate 1:1 work.

These experiences have taught me to adapt my delivery without losing the quality, presence and integrity of the practice.

Whether I am working with one person or a larger collective, I remain attentive to the individual experience within the group.

An International Practice

Across cultures, places and scales.

My professional work and personal journey have taken me extensively across Europe, as well as to other parts of the world.

I am now expanding my international path.

Working across cultures has reinforced something fundamental for me: wellbeing cannot simply be copied and transplanted from one environment to another.

I want to understand the people, culture, history, environment and spirit of a place, and create experiences that are appropriate to that context.

From 1:1 to International Projects

My practice can move naturally between different scales.

Luxury Hotels & Resorts
Wellness Destinations
Spas
Retreat Centres
Corporate & Executive Wellbeing
Private Events
Festivals
Immersive Cultural Projects

The format may change, but the foundation remains the same: creating a meaningful, embodied human experience.

My Approach

Different languages. One human being.

I bring together disciplines that are often treated separately:

Sound + Touch
Vibration + Breath
Massage + Meditation
Movement + Stillness
Emotion + Body
Traditional Instruments + Contemporary Wellbeing
Individual Experience + Collective Connection

I don't see these as competing modalities.

I see them as different languages through which we can connect with the same human being.

Professional Integrity

Responsibility is part of the practice.

For me, calling myself a therapist carries responsibility.

I am fully legally established, professionally certified and insured, and I hold myself to the professional standards I believe should accompany working with people in this capacity.

That means understanding my scope of practice, maintaining appropriate boundaries, continuing my education, respecting the origins of the practices I work with and being responsible about what I offer and how I communicate it.

Certification is not the end of professional development. It is a commitment to keep developing.

This is particularly important to me because sound, vibration, touch, breath, meditation and emotional work are powerful tools.

They should be approached with knowledge, humility, respect and responsibility.

Education & Teaching

Education has always been part of my professional identity.

I am also a trained teacher, and I previously taught in England.

My academic background is rooted in languages, literature, sociology and cultural studies.

At university, I studied English, French and Spanish, specialising in English and American literature, with Spanish and Polish studies and a strong emphasis on sociology and the role and importance of Indigenous and Aboriginal cultures in the modern world.

I work professionally in French, English and Spanish, allowing me to deliver my work and training across three languages.

Developing My Own Training

I am currently developing my own training programmes at the intersection of sound therapy, emotional coaching, embodiment and professional practice.

Although the programmes are still officially in development, I have already been teaching and testing elements of them for approximately six months.

I deliberately chose to teach the material before finalising it.

I wanted to see how students responded, where they struggled, what needed clarification, which concepts translated effectively into practice, where the gaps were and how the structure could be improved.

This process has allowed the training to evolve through real teaching, observation and adaptation, rather than simply being created as a theoretical programme.

Embodiment Before Transmission

Live it. Practise it. Embody it. Then transmit it.

“I don't want to teach something I have only learned. I want to teach something I have lived, practised and embodied.”

I am not interested in collecting certifications and immediately reproducing their content.

I want to spend time with a practice.

To understand its origins.

To practise it.

To question it.

To experience its possibilities and limitations.

And then to determine how I can responsibly transmit it.

My aim is not to produce people who can simply follow a script.

I want to help develop practitioners who can listen, perceive, adapt, understand their tools, recognise their own boundaries and hold space responsibly.

Respect for Tradition & Culture

Contemporary practice, cultural awareness.

My work is contemporary, but my relationship with these practices did not begin as a wellness trend.

My academic background in sociology and cultural studies taught me to look at practices within their wider cultural and historical context.

That perspective remains important to me.

When I encounter a practice, I want to understand:

  • Where does it come from?
  • What is its history?
  • What does it mean within its original context?
  • How has it traditionally been used?
  • What am I qualified to transmit?

I believe contemporary practitioners have a responsibility not to strip practices of their history and meaning simply to make them commercially attractive.

Respect for tradition is part of professional integrity.

A Life of Cross-Cultural Learning

Encounters that shaped the practitioner.

My relationship with these practices has also been shaped by encounters that began long before Soundataraxia or Kukui existed.

As a child, I was introduced to the work of a French magnétiseur, an experience that stayed with me and contributed to my early curiosity about forms of healing that extend beyond conventional approaches.

Later, during a serious burn in Hawaii, I encountered the shaman of Oʻahu, whose approach became part of a profound personal experience for me.

I have also spent time with nomadic communities in the desert and, on International Women's Day, 8 March, I was invited into a village where men and women traditionally have separate public spaces. I was welcomed by the women's community to play drums with them and, remarkably, was also invited by the male village chief to witness and participate in a men's drumming ceremony.

Being able to experience both sides of a tradition that is normally separated by gender was a rare privilege and an experience I deeply value.

In Finland, I had the opportunity to learn Sami chanting from a renowned Sami artist while making my own drum.

These encounters have taught me to approach cultural traditions with curiosity, humility and respect rather than treating them as techniques to be collected.

I have also studied Buddhist approaches to modern living in Nottingham, adding another dimension to my understanding of mindfulness, awareness and everyday practice.

Across these experiences, I have repeatedly encountered people whose knowledge is expressed not only through what they teach, but through the way they live.

That has had a profound influence on me.

The Thread Through My Life

The different parts of the journey are not disconnected.

My academic studies.

My languages.

Teaching.

Sociology and cultural studies.

Massage and bodywork.

Sound and vibration.

Meditation and mindfulness.

Emotional coaching.

Retreats and festivals.

My professional certifications.

My encounters with different cultures and traditions.

They have gradually shaped the practitioner I am today.

This is not a wellness trend I discovered. It is a path that has been developing throughout my life.

The Collaboration I Am Looking For

Not simply somewhere to deliver a workshop.

I am looking for meaningful collaborations with people and organisations that share my commitment to:

Professional Integrity
Respect for Tradition & Culture
High Standards of Training
Continuous Learning
Embodied Practice
Responsible Use of Therapeutic Tools
Human Connection
Authentic Wellbeing

I am particularly interested in developing collaborations across the world, where my experience can meet new cultural perspectives, environments and communities.

I am not simply looking for somewhere to deliver a workshop.

I am looking to build something together.

To exchange knowledge.

To learn from local expertise.

To bring different perspectives into dialogue.

And to create experiences that are both professionally rigorous and genuinely human.

My Vision

Creating the conditions in which people can feel for themselves.

My vision is to create wellbeing experiences that are sensory, sophisticated, deeply human and meaningful.

I want people to leave an experience with a stronger sense of connection — perhaps to their body, their breath, their emotions, their environment, or simply to the present moment.

How you feel is yours to discover, not mine to decide.

I want to create the conditions in which you can feel for yourself.

That is the essence of my work.
